Nevertheless 01
Unpublished

Nevertheless is an illustrated magazine created as my thesis project, exploring the experience of living with difficult emotions. Rather than focusing on overcoming or fixing them, it explores what it means to face these emotions, move through them, and learn to live alongside them.

Through bold, vibrant colors and visual metaphors, the magazine portrays difficult emotions with honesty and openness, expressing that these feelings are also a natural part of life and do not need to be hidden or pushed away. Ultimately, it aims to create a space where readers can pause, reflect on their own emotions, and find comfort in knowing they are not alone.

Song Menu
Unpublished

Song Menu is a risograph zine that transforms a playlist into a visual experience, inviting readers to enjoy music through a blend of imagery, melodies, and lyrics, much like savoring a meal.

Inspired by song lyrics, each illustration captures the mood, rhythm, and energy of a song through expressive imagery and color. Embracing the grainy texture of risograph printing, I incorporated pencil-like textures and vivid colors, using dense, playful compositions to reflect the melodies and dynamic energy of the music.

I wanted to create an experience where readers could savor each song in a different way, discovering the comfort and connection found in music through illustration.

Nightmare (insomnia)
Unpublished

Nightmare (Insomnia) is an illustrated narrative based on my personal experiences with insomnia, exploring how sleep itself can become a source of fear and anxiety.

Drawing from my experiences with melatonin-induced nightmares, I wanted to help viewers understand the distress of insomnia through surreal imagery. By rotating the horizontally oriented book into a vertical composition, I experimented with shifting perspectives to convey the protagonist's descent into a suffocating nightmare, making an often invisible struggle tangible.
